We Are
After describing the call or the identity Jesus calls us into, Paul pivots in his letter to the churches of Ephesus, “I, therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, beg you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called...” What if our identities were formed around what is true and good? All of us get plenty of input about who we are from our own stories and from the world around us. Often, after hearing those messages over and over, our very identity is shaped by them. As most of us have learned by now, that input isn’t always in our best interest and cannot always be trusted. In this series, we’re taking a deeper dive into Paul’s letter to the church around Ephesus, where he gives us some useful imagery, describing how God sees us and the kind of people He calls us to be.
