Children are an important part of our church community. The Ark children’s ministry aims to provide excellent care for our children and to show and teach them about God and themselves. Our hope is that they will experience the love and presence of God and know that they are a welcome part of the community.
Babies and children up through fifth grade meet together on the back playground when the weather allows, or inside in the library. We will have free play time or a structured activity to begin the morning, and then activities and teaching based on the curriculum for the week. We are currently working through the Gospel Project curriculum, which will take us all the way through the Bible in three years.
Once the sermon is finished, kids and babies will be brought back into the auditorium to join the rest of the church family for communion and worship. We welcome any extra noise or chaos that comes with them!
Teenagers and youth do not currently have regular Sunday morning programming, and are welcome in the service with adults. Some youth also volunteer in the Ark or with other Sunday morning ministries.
